Kindly assist in supporting your new unit.

As a newly established unit of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary, IMSAR operates entirely on a volunteer basis, which means we must raise our initial funds independently. Our volunteers require extensive training before they can safely operate on the water. Additionally, we need to cover costs for fuel, vessel maintenance, and new equipment, as well as participate in community events. The St. Lawrence River, with its picturesque beaches and fishing spots, offers a plethora of activities amidst stunning scenery. However, with both commercial and recreational boats navigating the river, accidents can occur. IMSAR is committed to being there for our community, covering the waterway from Prescott to Long Sault. In the near future, we aim to provide a 24/7 on-call service during the boating season and beyond, patrolling the St. Lawrence and assisting anyone in need. We are eager to serve our community, especially since the stretch from Prescott to Long Sault has limited marine search and rescue coverage on the Canadian side.
